Wind Speed & Direction Sensor

The WSD-131 Analog Sensor measures Wind Speed and Direction in automatic weather station applications. A 3-cup anemometer rotor coupled to an optical chopper is used for measuring wind speed. The chopper output frequency indicates the wind speed. A revolutionary, patented, smart-pot rotory sensor with Schmitt-triggered, 0-360º sensing capability is used for determining wind direction. The rugged device is suitable for long-term, outdoor, mast-borne installation.
